Nicki's second album “Inside Your Wasteland” reflects all of her influences melted into one. Nicki has truly found her punk root sounds in this new album. It's a combination of LA 90’s punk, Riot Grrl movement with a little sprinkle of todays pop rock and beautiful sometimes aggressive vocals on top. When talking about the lyrical inspiration for the album, Nicki said: when you're having the hardest time of your life, great music comes out. The pop element in songs like Those Four Words and No Default, still do not hide the punk undertones giving a fresh look at these styles. Suicide Note immediately draws you in with its’ playful opening riff which drives through the song with a fun punk/surf guitar solo. Hitting Gravel comes completely out of nowhere with it’s 7 string dive bomb opening and is a great way to keep the listener engaged, reminiscent of Black Sabbath’s “The Warning”. Nicki pulls off agony with attitude while still keeping a playful love for sweet harmonies and catchy melodies.
